A Practical, Motivating workshop for MFL teachers using the Moodle VLE
Fed up of “why do we have to learn languages”? Stuck for ideas for homeworks that show progression and are actually fun? Looking for ways to improve listening and speaking skills?
This practical, hands on session will take you from the basics of setting up a MFL course in Moodle to using multimedia for enhancing your student’s understanding of the target language and generating self marking activities that motivate your class while saving you time and effort.
Course delegates will:
- learn how to add lesson materials to a Moodle 2 VLE
- examine and use the best Moodle tools for the four key language skills
- get familiar with a variety of ways of adding sound and video to Moodle
- set up self-marking and teacher-gradable MFL activities
- explore and try out a wide range of free language resources proven to work well on VLEs.
