A classroom teacher for 25 years and a head of department for 10, Mary Tuson is one of the 3 national ‘Expert Subject Leaders’ for The National Centre for Excellence in Teaching Mathematics (NCETM). Mary has also worked as a Secondary Mathematics Consultant for Lancashire LEA where she developed her skills as a trainer at a national and a local level. She has trained and recruited Mathematics teachers for the Lancashire GTP programme for the last 8 years and knows what it takes to become a quality member of the Mathematics department.
